I'm glad to see someone else who likes this song, because I've seen so many people call it one of the worst songs on the album, which I just don't understand! I genuinely think it is one of her saddest and most poetic songs. Totally understand!! I remember when Lover came out and people were like this is her flop album and I was like am I missing something?? This is a great album!! (Though I think ME! is probably one of the lower ranking songs for me). Everyone's got an opinion...
Lover is my second favourite Taylor album, so I've always thought people judge it too harshly. I think a lot of people went into it already prejudiced against it purely because of ME!, which, to be fair, was a weak single choice. It's funny, because so many people claim Lover is Taylor's flop album, yet it's her album that does the best streaming numbers on Spotify. But as you say, everyone's got their opinions hahaha
